Re: Building a Jem DC04 "????"
i bought this
alder body
a couple years ago. a luthier painted the body. in the next project, i will make the body with blanks wood.
the body needs make some modifications... it is no perfect. also, the Jem DC03 "Fresno" ash body has many bugs. for this reason, i bought the tools. i will try to repair them.
the alder body:
neck and inlays:
regards.

Nice, I like it, how about some cream or white pickups though or even green to match the vine? Personally, I'd go with white or cream. Lookin' good so far though.

Re: Building a Jem DC04 "????"
i have a whites
seymour duncan
JB (humbucker) and a dimarzio fast track (single) in a Samick guitar. i can get these pickups. i would only need another white humbucker pickup.
...with white pickups:
better???

Re: Building a Jem DC04 "????"
I'm gonna disagree with everyone and say stick with black pups. The guitar as it stands will be, in my opinion, very organic looking with the brown and black then the green leaves. I personally think bright pups and knobs would ruin it. Just my $.02

Wood pickguard: Figured cocobolo or bird eye maple, macassar ebony, the options are endless.... and of course, cream or zebra pups.

Re: Building a Jem DC04 "????"
I think you should stick to
black pickups
. You still have your rg550 for colours. So this one would be a change. Less colours, more "formal" looking. I would go for the coloured pickups if i didnt have the rg550, but i like varying styles and looks of guitars
