Can buy dead mint JEM10th. How much?

Hey!

I currently own a Jem90ham and would love to add another JEM to my collection. I placed an add and received an offer for a dead mint JEM10th, with case and other thingies. The owner invited me to make an offer. How much would be a reasonable price to offer or for him to ask? It looks absolutely fantastic, ser.# is 409

Expect to pay upwards of around $3000 - $5000 for a dead mint one.

Ouch! I gotta start charging more

First you have to make sure it IS dead mint. If I had a dollar....... Very picky little condition points immediately drop a guitar out of dead mint. One tiny dink on the back drops to mint - or exc + even if the rest is flawless. Light wiping scratches [they are black and show every one], tiny loss of chrome to the edge of a pickup, previously shipped during winter and have small clearcoat bursts from the abolone purfling, every little picky detail you can think of knocks value. Then you're in Europe and a Euro case isn't as desirable to collectors [you Euro guys just didn't have a choice] so a US cased will always sell higher. Plenty of Jem10 sales results on my used and used sold pages.

for a Jem10 in v. good to excellent condition, expect to pay $2-2.5k .... much more than that and it would have to be near-mint or mint.... you can find them for reasonable money every now and again, you just have to be patient and not jump on the first one you see.

Yeah, I know I shoudn't jump to fast. Only that it's THE most beautiful guitar I've ever seen, and in Holland it's the first time i've ever seen one for sale. I love my jem90ham to death but the jem10 absolutely kills it in the looks-department
