Capo for Ibanez Universe? - Capo for Ibanez Universe?

Is there such as thing as a capo that has been specifically developed for the Ibanez Universe. I play in a number of tunings and it is a real pain to keep changing guitars, but I don't want to make do with some piece of rubbish that'll scratch the neck, etc.

Thanks
Rob

Capo for Ibanez Universe?

Wouldn't a capo designed for nylon acoustic do the trick? Those necks are quite wide, and I'm sure that if you buy a good capo that'll fit one of them that the neck widths should be comparable. And if you uy a good one it shouldn't damage your neck.

Hope that helps

I use my Kyser clip-on one for my Jem and my UV. *no problems.
Make sure you get one that's open-ended.

Just about any online music store will have them - i don't want to endorse any particular one - you'll pay $10-20. *Just do a search for Kyser Capo.

By 'open eneded' I mean just that - some capos go around the neck's circumference and clip to themselves. *the Kyser's squeezes on the back of the neck with a spring. *here's pics of mine

good luck!

Capo for Ibanez Universe?

Sorry it took me so long to post...I had to scroll down past the banners. *I only have a 21" monitor.

I have the same capo Kenny does, but in tasty anodized black. *Works great on my 7's.

I just find humor in pictures of Kenny squeezing anything. *

The only capo I've found that works on a 7 string is the "Bird of Paradise" capo. *It's super wide and it applies pressure very evenly to all the strings. *They cost about $20, but definately worth the dough.
