Catalog shot of a VSK?

Just curious if anyone's ever seen one - or at least what the specs were to what the original knob & switch tip. I just realized that the cavity was black on those (thought it would be LNG like the SK... OK).

Likely f-pink for both.

Thanks Simon, that's what I thought. It seems like any I've seen are all modified somehow.

Now to find them

I don't think you are wrong Simon, I've seen 4 different VSK's, 2 of which were mint, and they all had pink knobs. The one I refinished had pink knobs, and the 4th one I saw had black knobs and pickups.
I think they did come with pink knobs, it's just a guess on my part, but 3 out of 4 that I've personally seen, that seems to coincidental to me, one was owned by a guy who is totally anal about having his guitars PERFECT and accurate, I don't think he'd have it wrong personally. Those knobs could have been changed to yellow, personally I found the VSK to be kind of boring looking, all pink and black, the yellow helps a bit IMO.

I think I just got the 4th one you mentioned Jeremy.

I think these were considered ugly enough by most that everone seemed to change whatever they could. That's why I asked because I 've never seen two the same (but have only seen 3 or 4 in pics).

That shot in the guitar section looked like it was taken 2 feet from the sun.
Like the pink is bleeding out of the photo!

Jer, you got a pic you can shoot me of yours?

Mark,
I don't own a VSK, just refinished one for a guy, here is a pick of it with my JEM777SK and my UV777VSK custom

Look at the bare maple neck on the back shot of the VSK with "Orange" knobs... Notice anything? it's orange-red, a pretty close match to the knobs, yet we all know that the maple neck would be a yellow-ish off-white in real life. The colors are obviously off in that shot, and yellows are coming in reddish for some reaosn. Not sure how, maybe the pink was so intense it screwed with the camera's ability to discern other colors (digital, I'm assuming... could have been some sort of filter, between the neon color and bright light it appears to have been taken in).

The colors are off in the pic, my money says those knobs are yellow.
