Chrome SInglecoil for my BRMR?
I see that Dimarzio is offering Chrome-top pickups now. However, they do not offer this option on single coils. I'd like to pop in some Chrome tops all around in this bad boy.... any suggestions? Thanks.

Yeah, go to the bay and type in "dimarzio chrome", not so much up at the top, but down underneath at the bottom is the full set for you, both buckers (Evo DP159F and DP158F) and the single (ISCV2) as a package deal. It says it is from
Cottam Guitars
(banner above) but I don't see it on their website, anyhoo, there it is.

Anyone know why Ibanez didn't put these chrome top dimarzios stock on the BRMR? I think it'd look great.

Because they couldn't make them cheaper out of vinyl.

Re: Chrome SInglecoil for my BRMR?
are the chrome tops actual chrome metal? and if so, would the added metal affect the magnetic fields of the pickup?

Gilk, even that set seems to have a regular black single coil. I'm not sure about any tone difference, I'll be happy to report whenever I get a set though. I'm sure Ibanez didn't do it from the start because of cost. Dimarzio charges pretty good for this option.

Re: Chrome SInglecoil for my BRMR?
My BRMR has chrome Breeds & a cover for the single coil. I think I paid between $200 & $300 for them, I forget. I think they make the guitar, should have come that way. I also think it should have had pearloid
pyramid inlays
. The top is pimped out but the rest is not.

No, All three are definitely chrome. It is from Cottam Guitars, so just click on the banner at the top of the page and send them an email. I have been checking these pickups out for a while and this is about the best price I've seen. Of course, if you plan on playing the guitar, you probably should just go with
bobbin toppers
.

+1, it would've been killer like that. Why would you go this far with the BRMR and then stop just short of doing it right?!?! It's still a great guitar and all, but it just doesn't seem 'finished' (in true Jem style) without the inlays at a minimum, and the chrome pickups would've just been the final perfect touch. Maybe they just didn't want it to be too close to the chromeboy, then it would have been called a rip-off.
