Dont be sad, a guitar should have some "personality".
Just look at EVO, Steve's main guitar. As long as it plays as good as
before it does not matter. If not you had in plan to sell it one day.

I would rather that my guitars character be "clean cut" meaning in mint condition. Anyways yeah i'm sorry to hear that. i have gotten alittle damage done to my uv777bk and i hate it, but i guess thats life. I think i would take it to a repair shop and see what the doctor has to say.

Re: code red uv777bk down!!!!!!!!!
A scrape like that won't really matter on a UV777BK. Even if it was dead mint and brand new people would only offer you $800 if you tried to sell it.

The problem with that though is that EVO doesn't play as good as before because of the large crack. Which is why steve with have to retire her one of these days from the road.

Re: code red uv777bk down!!!!!!!!!
Don't worry, it can be fixed. If the wood has been dented you can steam it out with a damp cloth and a soldering iron. Clean the area up and get then head out to your auto body supply shop and get some black touch up paint. You can usually find these as touch up pens or small bottles with a brush. Obviously you'll want black (look for generic black or universal black *no pun intended*). Usually the touch up stuff comes with some
clear coat
mixed into the paint, but also grab some clear coat just in case.
Mask off the areas you DON'T want to accidentally paint over and apply the black touch up paint. Let it dry and depending on how deep it is, you may have to apply a second coat. Once you get that done, you may have to sand it down to get it even and then finally clear coat and do some finish sanding/buffing.
Mind you, that's probably more work than you'd want to do. If so, just get the black touch up paint, apply it and then just leave it alone. Most of the time as long as your eye doesn't catch it you'll be ok. (also a lot less work).

Re: code red uv777bk down!!!!!!!!!
There's no such thing as the devil, it's a fairy tale. A ding is a ding. If the guitar still plays fine, don't worry about it. Not like you're going to sell the guitar anyhow, right? You got the guitar not to hang it on the wall, but to
play
it, right? So play it.

That sucks dude. That's a pretty sweet RG though, I've wanted one of those since I saw one in a UK guitar magazine when they first came out.
