Coil tap the bridge humbucker? Possible?

Is it possible to install a coil tap on the bridge humbucker to get a single coil sound out of a Jem.

Forgive the question, I'm mainly a Fender guy, and the only guitar I own that has humbuckers is a Silvertone hollow body from the late 50s.

What do you guys think?

While I want to say it's 100% possible, I don't wanna get caught with my foot in my mouth (or whatever saying you prefer) so I'll so it's 99% very possible

I'm sure people on here have done it, I'll be shocked if no one has

You can coil tap any 4 conductor wire humbucker. What were you thinking about using? A push/pull volume or tone pot a dpdt mini switch what?

Probably a push/pull, so I don't have to cut any holes.

Actually, this was just a thought, I may or may not do it when/if I find a Jem. It seemed like something interesting to do, although I guess I should find a guitar first. I'm not having much luck.

Entirely possible. I'd use a push push pot as the knobs on most jems are stratlike and come of with pulling the putton up all the time.

But yes, it's very easy to do. With a bit of thinking you can wire it so that you can split both humbuckers, and phase reverse the neck. You can do loads as long as the wirting is kept neat as front mount electrics can be a bit of a bitch to fit if there's too much stuff in there!

But yeah, what you're wanting to do is fairly easy
