Contest: The best custom shop Jem/Universe/Signature

I know there are a lot of incredible custom made jems/universes/signatures out there. Ive seen a lot of swirls, exotic woods, donnies replicas, chrome, etc, etc, etc. We also have a couple of very good luthiers among jemsiters.

Id like to make a contest to pick the most atractive/original of them, and then make poll to choose the "supreme" custom made "ibanez" guitars. To be clear, this is not a poll. The idea is to make a poll later on.

This is also an excuse to get people to show this beasts!

Just 3 rules:

1: The guitar can't be a lightly modded stock guitar. It has to be either a full custom made guitar or a heavily customized guitar.

2: Try not to post too many pics of the same guitar.

3: Lets only post pics of finished guitars

It will be one thread were all the cool customs (like the BMC jem, the 9/11 jem and other highly reputed guitars among jemsiters) can be showed.

Amazing guitar! I dont know how I missed it. That has to be among the most beautifull jems I ever saw.

It may end up no.1 but it does has worthy oponents out there. Just give them time to show up!

I ll post a couple of new pics of my customs later on (this thread is also a good excuse to take new pics of your customs guys!)

Glen, I wasn't crazy about those colors at first, but they really make the 3-D effect pop. Sweet!

#1: The guitar can't be a lightly modded stock guitar. That's a just a refinished Jem.

How about the RG421? Is it done? Great neck on that one.

that is not a modified JEM it's 100% custom... custom neck (from Harper), custom body (from now defunct Ed Wood's shop), custom inlays (Harper)... nothin "stock" except pickups and hardware.... glen

symmetrical strings were used to tweak the neck upon return from many weeks of non-tension... good eye... the pickguard isn't even screwed on yet in those photos.... glen

Is it the angle of the pic or is the neck slightly missaligned?

LOL.... character is good... but that one is pretty clean still (otoh the finished RG421 custom my oldest put a big ding in the back of the body).

neck and everything probably a bit off kilter in the pics.

i'm surprise Simon didn't post yet in the thread... hehe.... glen
