curious about the finish on the floral Jem seeking accurate

I know that the pattern on the floral Jem is fabric and that the edges are hidden by a black burst. What I want to know is how the fabric was attached to the body, how the edges were smoothed out and how the final laquer finish was applied smoothly and without any air trapped? I prefer an accurate answer.

Well, The fabric is glued on, many many coats of Urethane are applied (not laquer) it is sanded out smooth, the edge bursted black, and then cleared over again. Just like any material finish is done
