Current Market Values for a 1987 JEM777 LNG

I just picked up a JEM777 LNG #254 in all original, excellent condition. And I was wondering if any of you fine folks could help with a ballpark value?

I think you'll find that difficult to sell. There just isn't a market for those guitars, I mean green guitars? Now let me do you a favour and take it off your hands for a couple of hundred quid

Sorry couldn't resist It's hard to say, I can't remember what the last one I saw sold for. If it is in excellent condition, I'm guessing you'd be looking upwards of $2000, but I'm sure others will chip in with more realistic prices in the US

You know its kind of funny. The JEM777LG was the guitar that started it all between Ibanez and Vai. We wouldn't even be in this Forum right now if it wasn't for that guitar. However, it seems that it doesn't get the ultimate respect that it deserves.

Sold my dead mint #366 for $4k or so, and I think it's being sold for the same price in the classifieds. But this baby is DEAD MINT. You should see the fretboard man, it's never been touched. It was such a beautiful guitar, but I was afraid to touch it and needed some money for a house and sold it. Has all original case candy and original case, plus hand rest and the autograph has graphics as well that Vai did.

I just want to clarify that I'm not selling this guitar, another member is, I just want to let you guys know how frickin awesome it is. I hope the guy gets what he wants. He is a top notch dude who paid right away. Check it out!!

No it's not.

Next time you see most of the heavy bands looking like this, it's time to make money with all the 777's (The only one I actually like is the VDY)

I agree, guitars are fashion at the end of the day, I've got LNG212, the only secure way to guarantee future value on a 777 is to dress your now 5 year old children in spandex, and tell them it's "normal".

Yeah, if I had the $$, I'd buy that right now. Amazing that the guitar is so old. Looks brand new. I think my 20th RG looks older .

Only a dead mint example is going to bring that kind of money is the US, but with the weak dollar, I have seen some crazy deals go down in the last month.

Put it on the bay and see what you get.

True, im takeing her as dead mint been played only 3 times etc. Im in AUS dont no much about your dollar, but I agree theres been some CHEAP stuff on the bay as far as guitars and gear go. Made me almost want to import with the AUS dollar being 94-95 cents and all!
