Anyhow, I also ordered all the electronics. And am wondering, if I should get a edge pro or a lo edge pro tremolo.
Not that there's any guarantees, but with that trem route I'd go for an Edge-Pro. It looks like you'll have a better chance of it fitting. I'm sure your studs and anchors will need to be replaced at the same time.... if it even has anchors??

AB....awesome to see you back!!

Re: The current quality of Chibanez copies

if it wouldn't have anchors , I could just put some in. I guess it would be better than having anchors in the wrong spot.

Re: The current quality of Chibanez copies

It can also be confusing when sites like this one show a picture of a fake Jem when they are talking about the Jem:

Re: The current quality of Chibanez copies

Here are some pictures of the backing plate off.

They even numbered the parts for 'quality control' that's ironic

looks like it's at least not plywood they've used for the body.

it looks like it reads 'licenced under floyd rose pats' on the block.

but the reason for that could be because the holes positioned in such a way that you can almost read it.

Re: The current quality of Chibanez copies

I don't think they're numbered for quality cobtrol--those numbers are probably there to help the assemblers know which part goes where. An "assemble by numbers"....lol.
That said, sorry you ended up with a fake.

I was being sarcastic about the 'quality control'
Like I said, I can throw this thing in the garbage or try to make the best of it.

Or resell it as what it is, a Chinese counterfeit. Then buy something real. Make alot more sense than throwing more bad money after bad money already spent.

Re: The current quality of Chibanez copies

You can't sell it as an Ibanez JEM, you have to state what it is.

Re: The current quality of Chibanez copies

Even as such I don't feel selling it would be right, unless it has proper hardware in it that someone could actually use.

Re: The current quality of Chibanez copies

You could put $1000 into it and it won't be worth $1 more.

It's a mistake. You learned from it. Now dump it and move on.

This is why jemsite has died in recent years because senior members like your self are so be-littleing to new posters, ive seen it so many times and now once a beautiful flourshing community about mine and 2000 other peoples passion has now almost died.

Thank you...and I know who should really "go burn it and start over"

....and just how old is that quote?

Check the date again, please...
And...make sure to know the whole story behind certain things.
There was a dude posting in here a few YEARS ago about his proud counterfeit.
It got out of hand, and ended in his banishment.

Look at my recent replies.

Edit--yep, had to go back 2 years to find that reply. So, not so recent...is it?
Plus--it was directed at a very bashing noob that was banned soon after.
If you're going to go dig in the archives for reasons to slam people--please do the homework and get the whole story.
