Custom JEM #2 - Feeling much better

I'm just about to go to bed, but tomorrow I'll put the finishing touches on this.
I have about 8 hours into this body.
I'd like to make one or two small changes to my templates and I'll be set!
I am having a good time with this project, even if I want to pull my hair out sometimes.
Just need to do a little chip out filling and drill the neck holes and the bridge studs.

Sebastian

Custom JEM #2

Lookin' good
Gettin' there.

I just knocked up a front rout template this weekend.

Lo-pro/edge, h-s-h (body mount, not pickguard), wire channels and neck (AANJ).
It's all as one on a piece of MDF
All routing accurate to a DBK.

I've never been keen on front rout electronics so they all have a place in the back, but I'll make a front rout for those who want it.

Currently just runnin' off some bucker and single coil templates.

Also working on some different body designs (got some Swamp Ash for the first prototype) as I really wan't to get this thing running and try to turn it into a money-making hobby/business of some sorts.

We seem to be headin' in the same direction, maybe we can have a chat sometime.

All the best

Steve

When you get one made put it on the web so I can see it or E-mail a pic.
I know what you mean about the front route thing.
Everyone is going to want rear route for swirl job and what not.

Yes I can make alot of different setups with the RG JEM UV bodies.
With a hardtail there is no loins claw unless I do something funky for you.

I've spent alot of money tooling up for this kind of work.
I want to do a UV version of a PMC/GMC style body for someone so I can get some of my investment money back.
I have a 7 string lions claw template all set to go!
I'm just waiting for that guy to come along.
I'm going to be very good about customer service so people get something they are happy with.

Sebastian,

Nice work. Definitely a step forward from the last one. Looks like you have some minor issues in the hum cavities but I assume your new templates may address that. Keep it up. I may be interested in getting a superlight ash body done in the future.

The pickup routes are perfect, its the photo.
There is some strange gray shadow thing going on.

Who wants to be my first sale?
I'm going to give the first guy a very good deal on one.
I want someone to order one so they can give a review of it for everyone else.

I've got my pricing nailed down.
I have more interest than I expected to get.
So I got it togther and prices are as follows.

standard JEM or UV bodies in Basswood *$200
All other woods will cost about $50 on up depending on their cost to me
If you just want a grip added to your guitar $65
If you want a Lions claw added to your RG/UV $85
If you buy a UV body I will do a Lions claw on it for only $50 extra
There will be no extra charge for a grip on a UV body
I can do a lot of other things as well, just ask
