Minus the silver hardware (since that's a separate issue, and regular chrome would be fine), the total cost was about $2750. It would have cost more, but I know various people in the industry who wanted to be part of the project. For example, the two hand-engraved plates (truss rod and trem) would cost anyone else $400, whereas I got it for less than half that (the engraver is a friend of the luthier). When I take pictures I'm going to try to capture the paint job, but it will be difficult... it's a metal flake paint that has some great depth to it... done by an autobody place that has won awards. Imagine a metallic paint on a car and you get the idea... very different in person than in photos.
