i turned 16 today too. Getting a Zenkudo drive by Tanabe.

got fathers strat over from ireland. 1986 custom in white with natural headstock (untouched since 86!)

You've had this for ages, and you just turned 16? I wish I had that kind of gear when I was 16--I had a brand new Kramer Focus 1000, a Boss Super Overdrive, and a Peavey Heritage tube amp.

You lucky thing. we used to DREAM of having a Boss super Overdrive.
I had to stretch barbed wire along a plank of four-be-two then tie fishing line to the motor of next door's washing machine. I used a lump of coal with a hole drilled in each end as a tone pedal. You kids don't know how lucky you've got it.




/but a jem, strat and mesa at that age is very lucky! hope you appreciate it! I had a Marlin strat copy, plugged into the input of my old Hi-Fi stereo! Natural fuzz distortion! (ie not the nice kind)

actually i payed for the mesa head, and my Jem, i'm not that much of a spoilt brat!
i work my ass off for everything! and i built that jem too!

Dad got the strat when he went home in January,

love the strat, beautiful guitar, play like a dream.

I also get a fair bit of money selling and trading gear. Flipped a good profit too!

Ive gotten a bit from gigging, not much - recently played sydney town hall for HICES selective music camp - if i find the video link ill post it

Now halfway to buying a jp7...... i think i have gear fanatic syndrome. Or the worlds worst G.A.S.


Then again, ive had a bit bought for me, but i work my ass off at school, get good grades and achievements. (orchestra leader for violin, jazz ensemble guitarist/)

You have no idea of GAS...lol! Well at 16, you're starting to learn and fast too. You'd better learn to work harder or curb it before it gets out of control. GAS can be a really really bad affliction...trust me!
