Custom MINI-JEM - take it with you wherever you go


i am planing to do as a project a MINI-jem
yeah, like a backpacker jem.
small size and maybe i can make darren swirl it.
i think it is a cool idea
what do you think?

I think it's a great idea. I have been considering buying a Chiquita or similar. Do you have any plans on the looks, measurements etc?

That sounds like the answer to my nightmares. I am going backpacking for a month in a couple of weeks but without my Jem!!! Sacrelege

Not only could I play it through a pig nose but I could use it as a self defence axe!!! Sweet. :biggrin:

Good idea, how are you going to squeeze an Edge, Monkey Grip, and Lion's Claw on a backpacker? :rotf:

Maybe a tune-o-matic with fine tuners, and a PAF Pro. *You'd probably still want some kind of top-lock, maybe one that clamps all the stings at once.

Yup. Ed/CGW *and Herc did *a mini-jem w/ hardtail bridge 2-1 PU config and presented it to Steve a few years back. Pics should be on the CGW site (see WEB LINKS page) ....glen
