D-tuna
Does this work on an original edge?? and are they good? and will they prevent me from having as much travel with my trem?

Re: D-tuna
As I understand it, technically, D-Tuna could be installed to an original EDGE trem (the bolt looks like it fits), but I don't think this works with floating trems in general. If I am not mistaken, it worked with Floyd Rose trems that were siting flat on the guitar body. I guess that if you install it in a floating system every string will go sharp when you drop the E to D. I don't think there is a mechanism for preventing this in the D-tuna.

Re: D-tuna
I dont think it fits on an Edge. And it only works properly on non-recessed trems as jazzedout said.

Re: D-tuna
It does fit on an original Edge. I have one on guitar of mine. But yes you need to be able to set the trem to dive only for it to work any well. Get yourself a Tremol-no, it'll do the job.

Re: D-tuna
But isn't it in the way when you do a pull up (when the trem is in full float)? Doesn't it hit the cavity edge?
The Ibanez S2075FW and S1675 had a similar device on a ZR trem (called the 'D-tuner', how original
). I really wonder how that one works (how it keeps itself in tune). I guess the Zero Point System comes in handy here?

Yes, which is why you see them on non-recessed trems that don't pull up.

Re: D-tuna
Oddly enough I tried to put a d-tuna on an edge trem the other day. It is already blocked, so goes down only. However, the d-tuna didn't really sit well with the trem cavity. I would have had to raise it up higher than I would've wanted, so scrapped the idea.

That makes sense since the trem is recessed.

Re: D-tuna
^^ Yeah, I thought maybe I could raise it a little and get it to work, which I could have, but it was too high for my liking.

Re: D-tuna
Well what I did was route out the cavity a bit more so it sits nicely if I want the trem to be fully floating.
If you are happy with dive only though, it doesn't really matter.
