Debate over how to say EVO - how is it really pronounced??

So, I'm done school, now I have time to ask meaningless questions. *My friends and I are in a debate. *How do u pronounce EVO (Steve's axe).
Is it EVO, as in take the first three letters of evolution, say them as a word, and just don't bother to say the 'lution' part?
or
is it EVO, pronounced as eevo?
or,
is it E.V.O.?
Part of the debate stems from the fact that the word evolution is somewhat ambiguos. *Is the correct pronounciation evolution, or eevolution? *kinda of like the potato, pota(h)to thing! *This could hold seriously implications for the true name of Steve's guitar!!
okay, so Im bored :rotf:
My pick is the first one. *But my my freinds disagree. *What chy'all think?

Kevan and Glen, you guys are way off. the name originally came from "EVOLUTION", so drop "LUTION" and say it the same way

Debate over how to say EVO

This is a silly "debate". There are two ways of pronouncing evolution: with a long "e" sound (EEvolution... like you'd say 'evil') or with a short "e" sound (EVolution, like you'd say 'everything').

I think "EVolution" is more of a British/Canadian pronunciation, and "EEvolution" is more of the American way of saying it.

However, the three letters, "EVO", i would pronounce "EEvo". Like evil.

Hey Darren, but Vai's Italian American!!! Maybe that changes Vai's interpretation of EEvolution!

I think I've heard a clip of Vai talking and he said "EEvo", but I can't remember. *I've always assumed it was EEvo.
