Decisions...decisions
Hello ladies and gentlemen.
This will be my first thread/post on this forum. You may know me from Jp forums, or musicianforums but other then that, Hello!
Now, I am an Ibanez whore, and I'm finally going for the 7 strings yay.
I've got three in mind.
The Uv - Any model
K7
7620
I have played all, and I liked the K7 the most, which seems weird to most.
I was just wondering, is there any reason why the Uv or the 7620 are better? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Decisions...decisions
All are of comparable quality. I used to play the 7620, but i found out that the UV Was the one for me.
You can check the specs on the Ibanez 7 page & the Jem/UV specs page on this site.
The K7 is a cool guitar and i wouldnt mind owning one, but i dont like the inlay, so i'd probably have some work done to it, and change the pickups, i dont think the PAF's are the ones for me.

Re: Decisions...decisions
i soooooo love my blaze single coil for cleans the answer is pretty simple for me
btw, K7, plus pickups, plus work on the neck sounds like a ****load of money better spent customizing a 7620...

Man, those are all different animals. UV's got the single coil thing going on, and a cool vibe...and I'm a big fan of basswood, especially in sevenstrings. the K7 is mahogany with PAF7s in it, great pickups...hate the inlay
7620, it's basswood but it's asian basswood which is rumored to be less open than american (which is in the UV), and no middle coil, and you'll probably want to gut the pickups at some point.

Re: Decisions...decisions
I just noticed 17 reviews of the RG1527 on Harmony Central. That's quite a few opinions! Good luck deciding. All the best. SMD

Re: Decisions...decisions
I agree that the K7 inlay ruins the K7. It is a nice guitar though I never played
one. I've had my 7620 since '98 and I still love it. I also own a UV7PWH and
Im starting to like the UV's better.
Check out Ebae. There's always UV777BK's and RG 7620s for sale.
I think they are still making the RG 1527 in Royal Blue.

Re: Decisions...decisions
Just watch out for a cosmic blue 1527 which is purple... Ask for the royal blue which they just started making in 2005. Awesome guitar!
