DNA Swirls - Anyone have pictures?

* *Howdy, I'm wondering if anyone has a VAI2KDNA with a swirl that is mostly black? *I just want to have a picture on file because I think that would be an absolutely beautiful guitar, kinda looking like the universe or the cosmos. *Thanks a million for any help!

Try checking out the DNA Registry at www.abouttimedesigns.com. *I'm sure you'll find a few there.

I haven't had any mostly black DNA's though. I think 60 is about as black as they got. John Cowan has some good digi shots of that if he ever pops his head in.

Friendly Reminder:
Don't forget that all ATD swirls are copywritten. *Darren 'owns' the designs. *If you want to use them anywhere outside of personal stuff, be sure to ask him for permission. *
$5 says he'd be cool with it, but ask first.

(Popping my head in) *#60 definately was very black and happens to still be one of my favorites. *Let me know if you want me to email pics...It's with another owner now though.

By the way, the actual owners own the rights to the swirl. *That's why they cost soo much:biggrin:

Here's a couple other black ones:

Oh yeah, that's not my foot in #17.

good call (i guess) on the copyritten thing. *but, as an owner, you have my permission to use MY photos on my site. *there is a lot of black and not that much red, and i have been told by most that it looks like the cosmos or "space." *click on the guitars link on the site.

*Thanks Steve and company! *Those guitars are absolutely beatiful and were exactly what I was looking for! *I'll never be able to afford one, but those would be my ideal JEM with that color scheme. *Thanks again!

Man! It’s been a while since I last gazed at those photos. I had forgotten how nice those guitars of yours are/were.

All I can say is WOW!

I know jerry egerton has some nice DNA photos on his site - http://www.ibanezregister.com worth a look.

If you dig a little on Jerrys site for the UK Jemfest photo gallery there's some photos of DNA 268 and DNA 54 belonging to jerrye and guycool, both who post here sometimes.

I also took a shot of my PMC in a DNA sandwich! and posted them on this board a few weeks ago...

http://jemsiteforum.com/sharefiles/i...reeBadBoys.JPG

You can see jerrys DNA on the right, has quite a lot of black in it. Seeing the two DNAs together is quite something - the varying swirl makes each guitar look worlds apart - both are very, very fine.

Jerrys DNA has some very unusual milky/white/grey on it and this led to some discussion that it wasn't just blood that went into the paint mix! I think the assertion was that this instrument might have rather more DNA in it than some of the others?! Jerry you know I love your guitar.
