Re: Does anyone do their own Jem FP project?

I started a project like that, although I just never got round to finishing.

I started with this tutorial: http://www.projectguitar.com/tut/mat.htm

I used PVA glue as a sanding sealer and it worked fine.

The only major problem I had was the edges. I didn't pay close attention to filling the edge and getting them really smooth before painting. I guess if I had used a paste for that part it would have worked better.

I tried out the technique on a cheap body I had kicking around first, which is always a good idea when starting out.

Re: Does anyone do their own Jem FP project?

I started to put together a composite image of the actual fabric from pictures i had some members on here take for me, and was only missing two little spots in the whole pattern when i worked on it last. but my computer died about a month ago and i lost the files of the pictures and the composite image of the whole pattern so im gonna have to start all over once i get a new comp.

it was time consuming to layer the images and stretch the images to the correct size in photoshop, but it wasn't particularly difficult (until my computer zonked on me...). so definitely do-able, and im sure ill get back to it once i get a new computer
