I do because I like 7 string guitars. And the UV is the best I have played.

I have my nights where the UV is just giving me more tone than the Jem. Not always, but sometimes. It's a mood thing

I found out I couldn't live without either. My main no.1 is a UV, but I keep my Jem close by, too.

Gave up trying to choose between the two, and now I intend to go crazy on both!

Hi!
Hmmm...
I'm selling at least one, possibly two of my JEM's, yet the UV's are staying right where they are, despite the sad puppy dog eyes one person has made when hinting for me to send one of my UV's his way.

Does that answer the question?

Out of the 7's I have tried, the original UV's remain my fav...but that may change soon...I hope...

I've never felt the need to own a JEM (unless they do the chrome model!), I was a Universe fan first and probably always will be. RG550's cover my 6 string needs.

Yes. I prefer UV's, they're just, well, 7strings, and I do enjoy playing them The Jem is nice, but the UV is nicer

I traded my JEM for a UVMC (thanks Rodney). I absolutely love it. I find it easier to play 6 string riffs on the UV, as opposed to 7 string riffs on the JEM

I know its not going to happen, but I would love to see a new UV in the Ibanez lineup.
