Does Ibanez made Jem555 now?


ofcause i like Jem7v very much, but it cost too much, and i think jem555 is not so bad. i'm studing in canada now~ i order a Jem555 in steve's music store, they said the Ibanez company didn't made Withe Jem555 anymore, but steal made black one~~~ is this true?

The 555 has been discontinued as an entire line. Most people here would advise you to buy a used Jem7 or 777 or a 5xx series over a 555 tho. Superior build quality and the edge trem system make it a far better buy overall. Have you considered the 'budget' model Jem7DBK? There are plenty of regulats who swear by them.

welcome to the forum. there are a plethora of 555 topics, and this one begs to be closed.

the 555 is available overseas but thankfully no longer in the USA. it has not been established if it's in production still, or simply trying to clear excess inventory.

highly recommended to buy a made-in-japan Ibanez RG with Edge trem instead of the 555. search one of the existing 555 topics to continue discussion about their merits (or lack thereof)... glen
