Does Steve Vai play those DNA's? - Just curious if Steve was

Does anyone know if A) Steve actually owns one of the 300 DNA Jem's, and B) Does he ever use it live or in the studio? *I own one, just curious if Steve loves it as much as I do...BTW, I'm a new member, look forward to the great comments from you guys! *Mike

I think one of the guys (shredmaster I think, forgive me if I'm wrong) said that Steve had given his prototype to a guitarcentre display and his "real" DNA had been stolen!!!

LOL, Jono, I was thinking the same thing! *
Yes, I had heard about the guitar center donation, and that it was a prototype that didn't actually contain the blood. *I thought for sure he might use one on the current G3 tour...anyone heard or seen him using one? *Even Satch is playing the Crystal, or so I heard...

I saw G3, and steve didn't use the new DNA. *He mostly stuck to his trusty Evo.

I wonder if they'd sell that DNA? (And thus for how much?)or if Steve only loaned it to them?

If I put away 1$ a day that'll only take me 41 years to save up for it...

They would sell, I asked them, but price was ridiculous, but maybe they just made I joke on me, I don't look like I'd buy a $200 guitar, not to mention DNA
Maybe next year I'll buy it if it's still there .

Does Steve Vai play those DNA's?

i have never seen him play one but when i spoke with him after the G3 show in chicago he did say "YA KNOW MY BLOOD IS IN THIS?!"...as he signed my DNA. *i said i know. *then he told me that he gave the prototype to guitar center and he had one stolen. *if he had one stolen and there were 300 and he GAVE GC a prototype, does that mean there are 299 legit ones out there? *steve ended by saying that when he dies and they clone him with the blood in the DNA, then maybe that new steve vai's music will be on the radio. *then he laughed.

The prototype isn't numbered, it's a prototype. There are 300 'legit' DNA's, Stevies isn't the only one stolen. There are more stolen ones, the last 4 that were imported into Australia were stolen off the dock, I'm sure there are more around the world that have been stolen also. Guitar thieves, castration would be appropriete.
