I've replace my lo trs2 for an edge pro with small routing.

I recently buy an old rg 440 with edge in mint. I'll try it on my 555.
I'll try too to replace my edge pro on a 1570 by a lo-pro-edge (on a rg550) one never knows....
thank's for the information

I don't think that guitar is intonated and tbh, I don't think that Edge looks right in that guitar. There's a reason why the Lo-Pro fits better on a Jem than an Edge.

My buddy has a 555. I gave him one of my old Kahler trems (just like the OFR's). It directly swaped to replace his trs. Now it is a VERY playable guitar.

Re: Egde Pro on JEM-555WH

I agree that an Edge Pro is a great (and simple) upgrade for the Edge Pro II. I was thinking in terms of the vast majority of JEM555's out there having the older TRS/Lo TRS bridges(I was napping when I read the part about it being a 2006 model). An original Edge does indeed work with the TRS studs but upgrading to Locking Edge studs is just a better way if you have the time and the parts. I have nothing against other brands of bridge but just prefer to keep all Ibanez parts if I can. The really odd thing about this is that every time I upgrade one of these, when it comes time to sell, they get less interest than a non-upgraded guitar. Go figure....

are you checking 12 and 24? That high E saddle looks waaaaaay to far forward.

Only the 2003 and 2004 series came with an Edge Pro II, AFAIK.
And I always thought it was a good trem... not as a Pro, but a good trem...
Isn't it?

Hello,
Thanks for your reply

I have change my EDGE PRO II by an IBANEZ EDGE PRO (Cosmo Black)
it's Ok ! No Stud Change, No Route wood
> Simply adjusting the springs, the height of Nuts and tune 12 & 24

note: My JEM-555WH is an 2006 French model

Re: Egde Pro on JEM-555WH

I have a Jem555wh too (almost all said that it's the worst guitar ever but i love it *.*) and i would like to change that ****ty lo-trs with somethin better.

Will be better an OFR or a Lo Pro Edge? (maybe the one who doesn't need routing or somethin like that...)

I've read that some1 of you fixed it with the OFR. Can u post some photos pls??
