It definitely an MKR. The colours are washed out

An ATD looks like this:

You bought this guitar from the guitar store in Enschede? They had the MKR for over 2 years for sale there.

Yes, I did get it from Enschede. The guy selling it posted it on marktplaats (for all you foreigners: a Dutch classifieds site), which is where I saw it. He did not mention it had been in the store for two years though.

And I agree, you have a very nice swirl there. Did you build the guitar yourself?

Jeremy from LGM guitars build the guitar. I almost bought that MKR in 2006, but then a Jemsite member put the custom UVMC for sale. I just had to have it. I always loved that swirl. I think i am going to put a pyramid inlay neck on the guitar sometime this year to replace the green dot inlay neck.

The MKR you got looks quite good! There always something indescribable about a UVMC.

Thanks for the info. Mine is 12th from the top on the MKR page.

The difference is quite clear though, ATD swirls appear to have more complexity and different colours.

I have just adjusted the action on mine and tuned it, and it is just amazing, very low action and no buzzing at all. Makes me want to take it apart, put new strings on and clean and polish everything. Also makes me want to do the same to my other UV to see if I can get it to play as well as the swirled one.

I have to say I am not too unhappy you decided not to buy it.

Yeah I agree with everyone take a pic in the daylight or try bright lit room it will make the swirl colors pop right out the computer monitors.

That swirl looks amazing..
