Question

Evo and the retail guitar Jem7v?

Hey everybody. I've just discovered something weird, for me to say atleast.

I took a more closer look to Steve Vai's Evo. The thing i saw was that the signature Jem7v WH was comepletely the same as Steve Vai's jem Evo, but just without the same bridge? Evo has another bridge than the signature guitar Jem7v that we can buy.

Steve also uses the same bridge on his Flo model, as he uses on his Evo model.

Anyone knows anything about this? Or can tell me what differs from Steve's bridges to the Signature Jem7v with another bridge, that we are able to buy?

Vai's evo is equipped with the legendary EDGE trem, his flo is equipped with the legendary LOPRO EDGE, the current production jem is equipped with edge pro, which IMO is as good as those 2 mention above.

I like the look of the Edge and LoPro more than the edge pro but both my Ibanez's have edge pro's (one 7 string version)

Evo and Flo both have the old style neck joint too but Flo was customized to be more like the new all access joint.

Funnily enough I get this on Top Gear a lot with the EVO 8, 9 or 10.

Also on a Robbie Williams song: "Don't talk to me about Evolution".

I have said too much.
