Evo's Twin Tremsetter Setup

So who's tried using two tremsetters just like Steve does in his new in-depth description on Evo at vai.com? The information on Evo including photos is extensive and a wet dream for any fan of Evo. Would love to hear from someone who has played around with this.

Well the tremstabilizer on vai's EVO is the Ibanez Back-Stop...essentially it allows your guitar to stay in tune when a string breaks (for floating trems) but still alows pull up on the bar.

they arent using two tremsetters although you could do that. Its not a tremsetter its an ibanez backstop and they are no longer produced

To clarify; the Ibanez Backstop uses two pistons which together do the job. In fact, it can be set up to only use one of the two pistons as well - it all depends on how tough they want the guitar to put out of tune vs. how tough they can deal with the action of the bridge.
The info section of Jemsite has the details on this unit.

Thanks, that makes more sense.

I did know about the 2 piston setup on the tremsetter, the original post just didn't make that clear.
