F-spaced pickups on Jem77FP?

Last weekend I bought a very nice '88 Jem77FP from fellow Jemsiter Vurtox. Apart from one ugly ding below the tone knob, some buckle rash and a few further assorted scuffs it is in really nice condition. It was a 2,5-hour-drive from Amsterdam, but well worth it (I'll prove it with pics when I put it back together again).

So yes, I went to change the strings but ended up taking out the trem and taking off the neck. The guitar is well-used and judging from the dust that came out I am the first to take out the trem. There is some fretwear on the lower frets on the G but other than that nothing is wrong that a little fiddling and polishing won't fix.

But anyway, one thing that struck me as odd was the fact that the PAF Pros are not F-spaced (the single is). I thought they might be replacements, but the soldering looks original enough. Does anyone know if they are replacements, or were these guitars also shipped with non-F-spaced pickups?

Cheers

I would be surprised if they even made f-spaced pickups back in 1988 but maybe they did (?).

Well like I said the single pickup is F-spaced, so I suppose they did make them then, but both humbuckers are non-F-spaced.

I'll leave them in then if they are original.

Many thanks

(It's still in pieces, so no pics yet, sorry)

strats are f spaced, single coils were originally meant to be in strats, therefore they are f spaced, actually I think I´ve never seen a regular spaced single
