It certainly has been a banner week for electronics here in my house this week!
From the Warmouth guitar site/store, I ordered a Custom Wound 7 String single coil made by Tom Anderson. *It was $56. *The guy on the phone said they have 6 of them left, if anyone here shares my hatred for Ibanez Single Coils.
I was going to do an A/B like i did with the BFP, but I was so excited to get the box today that i just stuck it in the minute i got it. *Forgot all about the experiment. *Sorry Guys!
It's a shame too, because the *difference is much clearer than on the BFP.
I used both guitars extensively tonight at my gig and I'm really happy with the improved sound in both. *I have to say, I like the Tom Anderson a wee bit better than the DiMarzio VirtuAL 2 that's in the BFP in terms of overall gain, but the Virtual 2 sounds almost like an
acoustic guitar when i split it with the
Evo Bridge p'up. *It's real nice.
My intial idea was to put a PAF-7 in the Neck of my UV, but I think I'm going to leave it as-is for a while. *My light-blue Evo is on its way for the BFP. *Can't wait to finish the job!
