Finally took the plunge
About a week ago, I was scanning the Bay and came across this mint condition Jem 7VWH. It had a buy-it-now for $1000. I had to buy it. Well, yesterday UPS dropped it off.
The guitar is in brand new condition with no scratch, nicks or dents. It comes with all of the case candy. I am so excited. This is not my first Jem. I have had a Jem555, Jem7DBK, UV777BK, and custom Jem777LNG. But, I've always wanted a 7VWH. And I finally got one.
This is an '05 with
rosewood board
. The neck is awesome. I am so used to my RG550DY, the neck felt a bit too thick at first. But, after a couple of hours of playing, I am liking it a lot.
another one with the "family"

II figured that LNG was not original, the color doesn't look right is too bright so are the pickups and the lions claw cavity, looks great though!!! is that why you said it was cutom???

Re: Finally took the plunge
Yeah, the LNG is custom made. But, it is not a "Chibanez"
Jeremy was building it for another Jemsite member until the deal fell through due to financial issue. So, I bought the parts.
The neck is a genuine Jem777DY neck. It was refretted and refinished by Jeremy. The body was from EKG. Pickups and hardware were from Rich. The pickups are
DiMarzio PAF Pro
, SD2, and
PAF Pro
. The whole project actually cost more than my new 7VWH. Haha....
Here are a couple of old pics:

Re: Finally took the plunge
^^Hey thanks.
Yeah, the RG 550 is a work horse. She's got evolutions in the neck and bridge. She is not much to look at, but she sounds and plays very well.

Re: Finally took the plunge
Yeah, I lucked out. The seller had just listed on the Bay. It had 6 days 22 hours remaining. LOL. He was surprised to see the auction ended and money in his Paypal account so quickly.

Re: Finally took the plunge
Just got to say that DY is awesome, its always great to see a worn neck like that, even though I know some people don't like it I think it gives it character! And, of course, nice Jem dude!
