First actual 'Chrome Jem' is in Stock+For Sale!!!

Hey!
That guy on Ebay in the UK has actually got the FIRST new model 'CHROME JEM' in stock and ready to go!!!Who'd have thought that the first one would be for sale in the UK?We're usually the last to get new stuff.I certainly wont be buying it though.I wonder how many of the Guys on this site will rush out and get one.I really think it should have had the Blue LEDs on the Fretboard.But then it could have done with a Sustainer too.It's already too pricy as it is.

I think you have misunderstood some things.. the new JEM is not chrome, but mirror..

That guy on Ebay you are writing about is probably just the guy that makes those chrome-film JEM finishes..

Do you have a link to the item perhaps?

I was calling it a 'Chrome Jem' by name only.We all know it isn't chromed as such.It is actually a layer of 'Mirrored Plastic'by the looks with a pearloid binding strip around the edge.Like the post above this says,it is the Official Ibanez that's for sale,not the home-done one you refer to.And it is ,as far as I can make out,the VERY FIRST one that's actually available to buy.

The guys brother sent it to him from Japan, he didn't get it through regular channels.

I wonder how his brother got it?Still,it must feel good to know you're the first person in the Whole World to offer the new 'Jem' for sale.It doesn't even appear to be in any of the Japanese Stores yet!

Do you think it'll sell well Rich?I wonder how many you'll shift?I could see quite a few people sending them to 'Sims' for the LED treatment.I think the Blue LEDs look awesome and they go with the 'Mirror-Body' really well.
Now that's an idea for you Rich!!!You could send,say 10 of them to Martin at Sims and get him to do the LED work,get them back,fit 'Sustainers' to them and get some nice metal plaques engraved for the cases and offer them as a 'Ltd.Edition' Full-On 'Bad Horsie'.I reckon they'd go like hot cakes.Maybe 20 would be a good idea!!!This is sounding like a better idea all the time!Maybe I'll put it into production now(LOL!)!!!!!!!!
I reckon people would love to buy a 'Mirror Bad-Horsie' which had all the right 'toys'!!! Hmmmmm???!!!!?(that's my thinking sound).

I'm trying to decide if I'm making the fret level option mandatory for next year and kinda leaning that way. But probably $2300.

They'd sell allot better with a chrome vine and a mirror head.

No, I will not be paying shipping both ways on even one guitar for a retrofit

I happen to know a guy very well who can do a chrome vine and mirror head stock on them, he's a lot closer to you than the UK as well,

and the mirror head and chrome vine would be less money than the $800 Sim's wants for damn LED's
