first ever jem?

I was wondering what the first production model ibanez jem was.....

i know there where tons of customs ones made for vai, but im wondering what ibanez jem was the first ever.

All 3 actually. But i guess the first to be completed of the three would probably be the green one.

yah thats what i thought started in 1987 i think there was also the root beer in 1990.....

1887 :O? No the root beer came along in 88 by some numbers, but some were also built in the summer of 87'. It's quite rare, but i've seen one with a palm rest. 1988 also brought the 77FP and the 777VBK. 89 was 777VDY, 7PBK, 777VSK.

I don't know what the 1st off the line was, but I know that the 775th off the line was a DY

Neck plates (I'm assuming you are using as your guage) were kept in a big bin and grabbed in no particular order. Yours would definitely be very very early, but not necessarily the 775th one.
