what should it be? right now my main electric is sadly an ibanez rg350dx but with a seymour sh4 jb in the bridge and a dimarzio paf pro. no sustiane and the bridge is crap. but i love ibanez more than anything and ive been saving for a while and im open to suggestions. lets hear it

Re: first jem

i think a standard jem7vwh is good for a first jem
Or you have the less expensive new jem77vbk
or you can always hit up the bay for some older models or used less expensive ones

Yes but then you're not getting an AANJ or Evos, the neck has a scarf joint and no volute - it all depends what you want out of your Jem. The old ones are still great but not the same as the new ones.

My first Jem was a Floral, I highly recommend it.

Re: first jem

yeah aanj is pretty sweet. luckly though i have huge hands and the old neck joint isnt a poblem at all for me. im also not a fan of the bridge evo. it sounds too sharp and icey.
are there any differences in the 777dy and the 77fr other than the finish, fret board, and inlays?
thanks
