FP Spray Jobs? What the hell is this??!?!?!?!?!

Guys, Every so often people refer to FP's with a sprayed on pattern rather than fabric...........

Ive looked at many FP's both new & 2nd hand, but I've never seen 'spray' finishes on one..........is this true or just some gossip?

It originates back to vai.com and I don't know how many times I've asked Rich Pike to change it but it's still there today. There are NO airbrushed FP's, they are all fabric.

Are you sure that the people in question havent' been referring to the "bursting" that is done to the FP models? I believe that the fabric (or paper in the case of the BFP) is adhered to the guitar's body and is then "bursted in" around the edges.
