Talking Fun with Powder Coating!

Well I wanted it so I did it!

I took an old set of crusty hardware and made it a new!

Iím really happy with the results.
There are just some things about electricity that wonít give me perfection, but darn close.
I made no adjustment to these pics.
I tried taking pics outside and they looked even more off.
Neon colors are very hard to photograph.
The green looks way better in person, very neon.

That is pretty cool. How did you accomplish that?

I bought a vibratory tumbler, sandblasting cabinet, two good air filters, large toaster/pizza convection oven and a powder coating gun.
I also did a lot of research on the correct way to make it look good, adhere good and last a long tie.

That's cool man, going to be interesting to see how the saddles hold up when you string it up...

Looking forward to seeing it with the rest of the guitar

Wicked! I just bought a powder coating gun myself for the race car I'm building. I have a rusty Edge laying around here somewhere that could use a little love. What did you prep the parts with?

During my learning curve, I powder coated a few parts and had to start over.
So I had to remove the powder coating I put on and get back to the bare metal again.
It was so much harder to get the powder coating off than the original finish on the Ibanez parts.
This stuff is really going to last!
