Going price for a pre-2003 DBK?

What is a good price for a pre-2003 (pre-Edge Pro) JEM7DBK in good condition?

I have had 2 of them and I sold them both for $950 each in good condition.
That is a good price I think, I would not pay over $1k for one though. The DBK is an excellent playing Jem, one of my favorites.

Thanks for the info. There's one on the bay right now for $1700, and I thought that was a bit much.

Are you sure that isn't a VBK? are you talking about the green and black one? A DBK for 1,700.00$ is pretty insane.

My mistake, that's a GMC, but i do see the "Steve Vai Signature, RARE Jem" for a buy now price of 1,860.00$. This guy is insane for asking that much for that guitar.

Sure thing........No way I'm paying $1800 for a DBK, even if it is mint.

Some people treat guitars are like some girls treat their "area". Theythink theirs is made of gold and worth more than everyone else's.

Re: Going price for a pre-2003 DBK?

I just got the second message back from him. Apparently, because they don't sell this guitar anymore, it's gone up in value and he feels that 1,800.00$ for that guitar is reasonably fair considering how rare it is. I told him he was full of **** and have a nice day. Either way, I feel sorry for the guy that pays 1,800.00$ for that guitar.

Re: Going price for a pre-2003 DBK?

Umm.... hello? Free market economy anyone? The guy can ask whatever he wants for the guitar. If someone's willing to pay it, that's their prerogative. If not, too bad for the seller... he'll adjust his price. Telling him what he should or shouldn't charge is a bit ridiculous.
