Got my first 2 Jems....virtually...

Rich is selling me an FP, and it looks like it could ship next week! And also, I won Item number: 290156525772 on 3bay last night............quite by accident because I didnt think my bid would hold up, and I wasnt going to bid again. So Im rollin'.

I've always loved Ibanez, but I've never even played a JEM before. I gig mostly with a Jackson PC-1 (Phil Collen-Def Lep sig model). Anyone care to make a comparison?

Posts like this make we feel like crying...

Anyway, as for a JEM: Imagine awesome, and then imagine someone coming over and kicking awesome in the nuts. That's how I would describe a JEM77FP.

On a serious note, a JEM is really just a souped up RG550, with better pickups, better quality craftmanship (normally), and a thicker neck. Enjoy your new JEMs.

"Souped up RG" or is it "souped down Jem = Rg"?

The PC-1 is complete junk and you need to send it to me

I've never had the chance to play one of those Jacksons but they seem sooooo sweet.

Re: Got my first 2 Jems....virtually...

Pics? 1 is not yet shipped and the other was only just bought .. that would be rapid delivery

You probs got a bargain from the bay because you were willing to drop that amount on a seller with a rating of 1.

As for the Jems, they are different. The Phil Collen is an amazing guitar and I think you will notice a lot less sustain with the Jems (even when not using the neck sus on the PC1). But its the same as the ESP M-II et al vs Jem debate, neither good nor bad - just different. If you prepare yourself for them both comparing good and bad with various aspects then I think this will be the start of a long relationship with Ibanez for you.

Enjoy
ps. Consider a 777, I think they are the best jem players.

There should be pics from the evilbay auction, and I doubt he would buy an FP from Rich without seeing pics of its condition

in the auction listing the seller states... quote..

As stated above this guitar is in impeccable condition, it is truly flawless, therefore, all sales are final. I will be happy to video tape it's packaging, with close up footage for you, for an additional $50 over selling price.

hmmm , whats all that about,, did you go for this aditional service? for 50 bucks i'd want my wedding night videoing..

congrats.... i hope the deals go well!!
