Gotta a little bonus about this Jem that I picked up!

The kid that I got this Jem from told me that he bought it new no more than 2 years ago. Well I finally got around the really looking into this thing. I knew something seemed strage about it. Come to find out...it's one the 2003's that got both the Ebony fretboards and the Edge Pro bridge!!! 2003 was a cutover year where in mid year cycle, they switched from Ebony to Rosewood. 2003 was also the year they started with the Edge Pro. For a limited period of time, the combination of Ebony with Edge Pro was created. Turns out this guitar is one of them!!! Woo hoo!

that would be a major pi$$ing on my parade! LOL! I'd like to think that every once in a while I have a little luck. This is the only way it would come too. Any time you are looking for something, you never find it. This was totally by chance. Glad I made the drive to get it.

My attachments are maxed out till I get 20 posts but I have a prestige right here next to it with the rosewood. You can easily tell them apart. Well, I feel I can anyway.

According to Rich, they made the change over somewhere at about the 45k mark on the serial numbers. Mine is down in the 8000's. Early 2003 model.

Here's a few more pics. You can really see the difference between the rosewood and the ebony when they are next to each other. The ebony is almost...well...black. Besides the lighter color, the rosewood is much more grainy. There is a different feel between the two fretboards, which I suppose is to be expected.
