I think it's called a BSB? and it's basswood. if you click the HOME button above you can get all the stats for all the UV and jems, which pickups, what woods ,years produced and pictures a very useful resource.
Like this lifted from said section:
JEM7BSB Note - The guitar and rear of the neck was burnt and then stained. There is no clearcoat on the guitar so the stain can rub or scratch easily. Fretboard not scalloped on frets 21-24. The color varies from blue to green, with a varying degree of burnt wood appearance. In short, no two BSBs are alike.
Your a braver man than me balancing all those Morris. Sweet collection.
LNG and PBK FTW IMO.

Re: Group shot of the lads
Super collection. Didn't you refinish that BSB at some point? I think that's the best looking one I've ever seen and always thought that's the way they should have looked/remained instead of being BSG.

Re: Group shot of the lads
Yeah that's the BSB in question, it must about 5 years since I refinished it. It's actually looking a bit darker these days wearing through in a few spots, so I'm thinking of doing it again.

Wow, that's the blue-est BSB I've ever seen. I think all the others have looked far greener.
Awesome collection.

Yeah it's not an original, I bought a body already painted that colour from northern Ireland, then got an original 777dy neck from here which had been painted pink. As I knew I'd never match the colour I painted it black. This will all change over the next month though so watch this space when it's finished....

Re: Group shot of the lads
Fabulous collection. Love the idiosyncracies. Fave is the BRMR - an amazing guitar, seems to not get much love as far as Jems go.
