I don't have a problem with PRS's even though I don't like their styling very much but it just looks so wrong seeing him play it

Why, maybe he was out enjoying a concert, he got asked to play a song on stage and that PRS may have been the only guitar available. What is he supposed to say, "sorry, if there is not a Jem available I can't play!" I don't think he always has a Jem right by his side. That probably wasn't the case, but you know it's always fun to try out another guitar.

Thats what I mean, I always thought for 20 years he played 1 style of guitar. Im not a fan of PRS not to start a flame war or anything they just dont seem to catch my eye.

1. That first part is kinda ****ed up dude.

2. You won't read the cd liners do you? He plays strats and other guitars on his albums on parts where the Jem just doesn't cut it.

3. Would you rather have the coolest looking guitar ever or one that plays and sounds better than any other nice looking one. Form and function first n' looks second.

2. I like strats, and im well aware of that.

3. My opinon is JEM's sound much better then PRS thats souly my opinon I do agree with your princaple there though.

It just seems like for all the 'Vai guitars' out there, we only ever really see him play a handful of them (mainly 7vwh and 77brmr.)

This isn't a knock on Vai, I just think it'd be pretty cool if anyone has any pictures of him actually playing the guitars listed and I'd love to see them if possible.

Vai borrowed the PRS to play that song with meatloaf, it's not his. They just didn't have his guitars there for him. Ibby purisits don't fret none. It's like if you were at someone's house and asked you to jam & your axes were at home & had to play whatever your friend had available. Besides Vai's so good he could play a 2x4 with fishing line strung on it and make it sound good.

Yeah I understand, and i agree he could make anything cry, bit like paul gilbert, picks the worst ibanez of the shelf and starts to play it sounds better then my JEM. Just goes to show theres no such thing as a "bad" guitar. I wonder if that photo would piss ibanez off?
