*HELP*- How can i get low action?


I have a 7dbk and i would like to get lower action for finger tapping. What do i tweek on my guitar to get low action? And how can i get the strings closer to the frets for a crisper tone when finger tapping? *

im studying Stanley Jordan, AND I NEED LOW ACTION!!!!!!!!

lowering the trem/getting the spring tension right/playing around with the trussrod...

If you know how to do it fine, if not either get a guitar tech to do it for you (only needs to be done once unless you plan to change string gauges). Or alternately get a good book on guitar setups and practice on a guitar that can get a bit hurt and when confident set up your 7dbk.

Have a look at some of the faq areas of jemsite, they should tell you a lot about what you need to know and how to do it.

click GUITARS from the green menu then TECH/SETUP and start reading ...glen

On a similar tangent -- my action HAS been altered despite using the same guage strings. *When replacing old D'Addario's with Gibsons, by tremolo angle went up a little bit, and correspondingly the action. *I'm going to readjust the trem back to parallel, but yikes, im still using 9's and my bridge is action weird!
