Help with jem777 neck ID
Hi
This is my first post here but have been using the fabulous site for years now.
Anyway, I'm a UV fan and know nothing or very little about jem's and I have located a
jem neck
which I cant ID from this site.
It has the dimishing
pyramid inlays
(green, yellow, pink) scalloped 21-24, but the headstock is black with the Ibanez logo in yellow.
It has 777 stamped on the heel.
Any ideas (I'll kick myself if I've just missed it in the gallery)
Many thanks
Paul

I'm not seeing it in the gallery either. You sure it's
black headstock
with yellow logo and not the other way around? What's the
fretboard wood
?

The wood is maple, and the logo is not solid yellow, just yellow outline on the black bg.

Yeah I saw one of these on EvilBay not so long ago. Looked interesting, the headstock was plain black with an outlined Ibanez logo on it. Sounds very similar! Be interesting to see again though.
I have a pic here:

Wow, I have never seen one of those. What's it say next to "Ibanez" on the headstock?
Maybe this is a custom job of some sort??

Fire it off to
khracing@yahoo.co.uk
and i'll host it for you :-)
It's sounds as tho it's off a pyramid DY (Jem777DY) and had the faced re-finished in black (but logo's masked off) hence the yellow outline ... If you search about, quite a few headstocks are re-finished that way

Definately not original, whatever it was is probably still stamped on the neck heel. If it only says 777 then there shoule be a hint of color bleed left to tell what it was originally from.

It is nearly done yeah, just doing finishing touches to the body and neck beofre I put all the parts together and all that. The last thing I want is to miss something! There are a few more parts I need, but I will get them as I go along. They arent major.
I just wana see what it plays/looks like when done. Hopefully though it shouldnt be too long before I find out.
