Help with pickup change for UV7-PWH.

Hey guys,
Need some help here... before switching to the UV-PWH, I used a 68' tele as my main axe. I fell in love with the neck and setup on the UV, but the flat/bland tone coming from the Blaze pickups is really holding me back. I play mostly on clean channels through tube amps (fender twin etc). I'm looking for a way to warm up the tone, and not sure which direction to turn. I have never installed new pickups before - fairly new to me. While reading through the posts on jemsite, I see Seymour Duncan Jazz and Custom pickups mentioned. Would they produce a nice warm, clean tone on the UV compared to the Blaze IIs? Seymour's custom shop makes a 7 string strat style single coil - would something like this warm up the single coil blaze on middle position as well?

I've tried lots of eq balances, pickup height adjustments, and even different amps, but I'm finding that the tone is still very bland and dry. Any ideas guys? I would very much like to keep this UV as my main axe.

Appreciate all your help!
