How do i adjust intonation or action?

Hi i have an edge tremolo, and havent got a clue how to adjust the intonation.
Can anyone help? ive read the guide on the site and dont understand it as im an idiot.

Also, how would you adjust action on a floating tremolo> im used to doing it on a strat with a simple allen key to raise things!

Action - by sticking a 6mm allen wrench into either trem post and turning it until you get the desired action

Intonation - by unscrewing the little hex screw holding the saddle down (under the string) and sliding the sadle in the desired position.
Intonating without a tool might take some time so remember to bring your nerves of steel.

Is it necessary to remove the bridge before adjusting the action? I never have on my Floyd Rose, but I'm wondering if that was a bad idea.

w/o an intonation tool, i find it best to loosen the string at the headstock, adjust the saddle, tune, then repeat until you get it right ...glen
