how i can make my whammy bar more tight?


I have Ibanez Jem7v, i want to get my whammy more tight. my whammy bar always get down when i leave it. Can i make it more tight?

you can take a lighter & slightly melt the white plastic rings on the whammy bar.
once they cool down, put it back into the bridge.

be careful not to melt them too much!

Just put some plumber's tape below those plastic rings,2 or 3 turns.

Like 6 fingers said, plumbers tape is a popular solution.

Another easy solution is removing the white bushings, putting some fingernail polish where they go, after a bit builds up and dries, put the white bushings back on, they should sit a little 'bigger' making it fit tighter.
