I wish I owned a UV777GR. It would be nice to have the maple fretboard too. If I acquired one, i'd have to get the MC next. Too expensive though.

Finally got my hands on one thanks to Superuser. I am sooo pleased with it. Definitely my favorite of all the Jem/UV lines. The neck and fingerboard is to die for.

There was one partially parted out on **** a few weeks back. I saw the neck for sale within the last 1-2 months or so and the pickups from the same seller just recently closed.

Re: How many UV777GR owners in jemsite?

jeez... how come I didn't answer this thread when it was still fresh....
yes I have one! what's the count now? :P actually, my GR *was* Glen's guitar... at one point
... its far from "mint" by now; still my main guitar until a 2027, UV7BK or a 1077xl comes this way.
the person I got the GR came from Las Vegas... who knows how he got it and whose hands it was passed on before it came to me!

pic\ from when I upgraded the pickups back around Fall 2001:

more recent pic around summertime:

and for those in doubt:

ps... if there's an official UV777GR registry somewhere thats always updated... I want to be in the loop! hunting down all 300+ of 'em shouldn't be that hard compared to finding all the VWH's sold since 93

Does anyone know if the extra large linked photo was taken in Nikki's studio? FYI, I saved it and later uploaded it to my website for safekeeping, but I couldn't remember where I originally saw it. Hopefully someone does.

There is one hanging on the wall for sale at GTR in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
It has a couple of small dinks on the body and the pick ups are fully green instead of green/yellow. A bit of a steep price though.
Theres also a Jem20th hanging there.

Thanks! I absolutley love this guitar.....gawdy paint job and all.
It's risen to my #1 as I play it all the time now. Stays in tune incredibly well, if I keep the trem arm off of it. Occasional dives are OK but trem abuse will put it out a bit (as it will on most double locking axes).

The maple board is a joy and the Blaze pups just rock in this axe. Cranked through my VHT, straight in/no pedals, I can get some really convincing "brown sound" out of it. Not too overdriven, but really "grindy"....for lack of a better term. Harmonics jump...VH1 On Fire anyone?..plus the low B for the intro chords.

When I play the 3-4 minute intro to A Change Of Seasons.....life is good!
