How much should I expect to pay for...

...A Jem neck? Just looking for ballpark figures here, as I don't see them around much.
Cheers!

Apparently people are more than happy to pay $700-$900

You have to add the $20 for the crack rock.

Red face

Re: How much should I expect to pay for...

Thanks for the replies guys, I think I'll just have my own custom mirrored Jem built by a third party rather than pay those prices.

Definitely, and it beats paying 1600$-2000$ for a BRMR Jem that I don't have at the moment. I think it would look pretty sweet with a maple fretboard, ghost pyramids and a matching headstock...

Tell me you're kidding.... If you have a JEM BRMR clone built for less than $1600..00 please tell us by who! I know..... try Legacy One Guitars!

I'm not sure, but I'll bet it'll be awesome!

jemplayer55- I was thinking about trying Christopher Woods, he seems to have a decent reputation. I figure if I just got the guitar and neck I could put the rest of it in myself when I get the time/money. Kind of a long-term thing as opposed to shelling out 1600-2000$+ all in one shot.

Ask around on the forum..... most will tell you having one made isn't cheap. What are you going to do for hardware, pickups, etc.?

Chris Woods custom built guitars START at $1200.00 for your basic job! Not some JEM BRMR clone. Just a chrome paint job will run you about $450 alone. Sorry.... but I think you're using "wishful thinking" here!

Good luck with Christopher Woods.Last time I looked at his site and talked to him he said he was not doing any custom orders right now.An it would be months before he would. But you can buy stuff off his site that he already made.I did a trade with a Jemsiter that got one of his bodys and necks. He says it is way cool and looked great.

Re: How much should I expect to pay for...

Well, I'm just going to see how it goes. I probably won't even be ready to think about doing this for a good six months or so. Still, I can dream, can't I? How awesome would a maple board on a BRMR Jem w/ghost pyramids look?
