How sacred is *the pink? - will I get flamed here for painti

I've got my heart set on buying a used Jem as my next guitar. *I'm not a collector, I'm a player.

i see lots of the pink ones on ****. *I do a lot of fancy gigs and a pink guitar would not be appropriate - not to mention that I think they're really ugly and I'd feel like CC DeVille.

Would I be breaking some cardinal rule by putting a new paint job on it? *I was even thinking of buying one and having a "guitar-be-que" in hopes of making one like SV's 7-string in the FTLOG video.

Just curious to hear your thoughts and attachments to pink guitars
