I am breaking up with JEM

After a long intimate relationship with my JEN VWH, I have decided to trade it in for another guitar. I was at GC today and tried out the Jackson DKMG, the Ibanez RGT6EX and the Fender Strat Eric Johnson and there is a good possiblity I might get the Strat which had an excellent tone. As for playability, the Jackson and the Ibanez were really good, but the Strat was solid in terms of tone.

I am going back to GC this evening and will take my JEM in for a trade in. I am deeply saddened now.

I wouldn't buy a Jackson DKMG if I were you. They're made in Korea and have really crappy trems.

I'd never trade an Ibanez for any Fender, the quality of new Fenders is just not good enough.

I would love to keep it, but I need the cash now...with the holidays around, too much expenses.
Yes, I did take my meds this morning...so that's not it.

The Jacksons playability was excellent, honestly....

You are terribly wrong!!! DKMG is avery solid axe I've had one for 4 years and I never had a problem with it!!! its set up was perfect right out of the factory.
Please be more realistic when judging gear and "Try one" before you say they have crappy trems!!!

Jacksons are great guitars, some people have a tendency to talk without any real experience to back up their claims. If you really want the EJ strat go for it!!!

it is a beautiful instrument with great tone and if that does it for you that is fine!!!
I wouldn't trade my JEM for it though, hopefully I could own both but I understand that when cash is short sacrifices must be made

just be sure not to let those schmocks at GC steal your JEM from you and offer you penuts for it because that's what they do!!! Beware!!!

The EJ is on sale this weekend only. It's $1466.00.

My JEM is serial number F99xxxx, so this is obviously a 99 model. I bought it used, but it's in excellent condition.

Do you guys have an idea as to what the trade in value should be for this deal at GC?
