I finally got an FP !!!

I finally got me a FP, it's 2000 model that my loving wife picked up off of evilbay for me. Just some pick scratches otherwise it's in top condition. I've wanted one forever, I just never knew they were a production model till 3 years ago.(Seriously, I wasn't in the know and thought Vai only had them. I missed out on some nice Jems all these years) By the time I had $ for one Rich had sold his last one off 3 weeks before I came up with the $. All this time I kept losing bids at the last second on evilbay. I never thought I'd find one that wasn't beat to hell, then this one showed up with a buy it now and my wife snagged it for me. I love my wife.

It amazes me how different it sounds compared to my VWH and BRMR. I'm very happy with it. I wish I could find some pink chrome knobs to replace the plastic ones with.

I hope I can get rid of the scratches with some wet sanding and polishing compound & buffing. They aren't that bad, I'm just anal retentive.

Awesome man! I remember when I got mine, and I was awestruck when I opened the case. I had to go show my neighbors.

Congrats, it's a great guitar. I don't think you will have any problem getting it right where you want it.

Tell me how you think the neck feels in comparision to the BRMR.

I like my BRMR neck better

Thanks ! Yeah both my wife and I were awestruck when we opened the case for the 1st time too.
I think my BRMR neck is more comfortable, but the FP neck certainly is prettier. It's a lot of fun to play, but that's a given since it's a Jem afterall.
